Russians have a saying that translates something like this: "We thought we had reached rock-bottom, but then came a knocking from below." For me, that sums up the 45th president of my native United States, the political party he headed, the Fox Propaganda channel, and the sad 70-odd million of my compatriots that they brainwashed. 

To mark the end of the presidential voyage of He Whose Name Shall Not Be Indexed By Googlebots Here, I have taken the classic sea shanty "Leave Her Johnny", sung by ship crews at the end of a voyage, and made some new lyrics . I have also rendered it in three-quarter (waltz) time rather than the traditional 4/4. I thought it sounds more cheerful that way.

This is not a gloat. While it acknowledges the removal of a noxious unsightly growth from the skin of the body politic, the underlying disease remains. However, some occasions are worth marking on the your life's chart as your ship sails past. This one simply marks a shift in the wind. Whether the change be favorable or enduring remains to be seen.

But hey, let's be thankful for small favors. The Terminator of many things is gone. Let us hope he'll not be back.
