This week saw some big news from my native country! First, it was reported that the Koch brothers net worth topped $100 billion. This was closely followed by reports of a major study concluding that the U.S. is an oligarchy. All this following hard on the heels of the U.S. supreme court striking down limitations on election spending... oh, it all just makes me giddy with delight. So let's all celebrate the Triumph of Democracy with some cheery bluegrass music!
I actually wrote this way back around Christmas time. I thought this old drawing of the unreformed Scrooge from an old edition of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol would make an appropriate bit of eye candy to go along with the tune.
